ePassports

SMARTRAC ePassport inlays offer two particular advantages: they are made from fully laminated polycarbonate or polyester (PET) and they are equipped with a special technique for embedding the chip. These materials and procedures offer protection against environmental influences, thereby allowing document durability of at least 10 years. The products are ICAO-compatible (International Civil Aviation Organization).

In addition to conventional materials, SMARTRAC uses a new, particularly durable material for ePassports in DURASOFT/P.
