To build up our R&D team in Tampere we are currently looking for:

 

Lab Technician

 

In this role you will be responsible for performing and documenting a variety of tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of final RFID products as well as early prototypes. As a Lab Technician you will be working closely with the R&D product designers & Product Management team to analyze test results and build prototypes to create the best performing RFID products on the market. In addition, you have a major role in developing the test methods and equipment to support our continuous efforts to increase efficiency and quality of lab testing.

Your tasks:

  • Planning, executing and reporting laboratory tests for prototypes, pilot runs and product evaluation purposes
  • Hands-on sample preparation
  • Performing basic calculations on test results and creating demanded documentation
  • Maintaining and calibrating standard equipment
  • Helping to identify areas of improvement for the laboratory and support implementation of continuous improvement
  • Supporting a positive culture of safety to ensure the laboratory meets all health and safety requirements
  • Carrying out product failure analysis and providing clear root cause investigation
  • Developing and optimizing test methods

 

Your Profile:

  • Vocational qualification in Laboratory Technology
  • 2+ years of job experience as laboratory technician preferable in manufacturing industry
  • Good understanding of basic calculations and analyzing of test results
  • Basic knowledge of testing technologies and measurement systems
  • Ability to write prompt and readable testing reports
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
  • Experience working with wireless technologies or products is highly appreciated but not mandatory
