High-Temperature Resistance and Optimized On-metal Tagging

Smartrac MAXDURA® TURTLE has been designed to meet hightemperature on-metal requirements in challenging industrial environments. It is capable follow a car throughout the manufacturing process, including paint shop.


This RAIN RFID (UHF) hard tag, member of Smartrac’s MAXDURA product family is a passive transponder based on printed circuit board (PCB) equipped with the NXP UCODE® 7xm integrated circuit (IC).


It offers extended memory, supporting 1kbit / 2 kbit of user memory and 448-bit EPC memory and superior performance of 6.5 meters over UHF tags on metal surfaces. MAXDURA TURTLE responds to specific needs to track automotive chassis and other metal parts all the way through the production process. The tag is rated for up to three 10-minute heat cycles of up to 250°C.

The tags contribute to process acceleration, efficiency gains and optimized tracking and tracing of goods and parts. Due to their high resistance, they are very well suited to tap the benefits of passive RFID in harsh environments and demanding industrial applications.
