Smartrac Proves That The "Internet of Your Things” is Just Two Steps Away

Amsterdam (The Netherlands), January 13, 2018 – Digitization, IoT and customer experience will be major buzzwords at this year’s NRF event. Christian Uhl, CEO of RFID and IoT pacesetter Smartrac, is keen to prove that brand owners and retailers only have to take two steps to be ready to transform their business and benefit from an “Internet of Your Things”.

In the embedding step, it is essential to choose the right RFID/NFC tags to digitally connect the products. Fortunately, Smartrac’s portfolio offers the appropriate tag solution for virtually any product. To complete the first step, what’s then needed is to embed the tags into the products in a repeatable, efficient way. Offering an efficient way suitable for mass production as well as for high-value individual manufacture has become an important field of activity for Smartrac.

In the enabling step, the digital ID associated with the tag has to be securely married to the product data, so that the workflows needed to provide new consumer experiences can be delivered.
