Smartrac to Provide the Ultimate Experience for Retailers and Brand Owners at EuroCIS in Duesseldorf

Amsterdam (The Netherlands), February 22, 2016 – When the retail world meets in Duesseldorf, Germany, for the EuroCIS 2016 tradeshow (February 23-25, 2016), Smartrac will be showcasing products and solutions that provide the ultimate experience for retailers, brand owners and consumers. Key to many of these solutions will be the company’s groundbreaking Internet of Things platform, Smart Cosmos.

Smartrac will present a bouquet of new RFID transponders ideally suited to retail applications; specifically the Web DF dual-frequency inlay, as well as RAIN RFID inlays based on Impinj’s Monza® R6 chip family, such as the Accessory and Bling tags. Both Accessory and Bling have a small form factor, which opens up new fields of application. It enables retailers and brand owners to gain better visibility for small merchandize items, thereby increasing the value of their item-level data. The compact dual-frequency Web DF inlay complies with the NFC and RAIN RFID technology standards, and can handle product authenticity verification and inventory management, as well as consumer loyalty tasks.

In-store analytics with Metrics
The RFID pacesetter will also present its all-new in-store analytics solution, Metrics, which can deliver significant sales lifts and gross margin increases. Metrics empowers retailers with end-to-end supply-chain visibility and real-time analytics that provide comprehensive reports to optimize store and shelf availability of merchandise and increasing customer satisfaction. Visitors (Hall 9 Booth B14) will have the opportunity to see the Metrics demo onsite in a live “real-world” apparel store environment.

Product authentication and customer interaction with Experiences
Smartrac will also showcase Experiences, another Smart Cosmos based, trendsetting solution that connects mobile consumers to the media and products in the real world. One additional eye-catcher on the booth is adidas’s revolutionary “x HYPEBEAST 10th Anniversary UltraBOOST UNCAGED”, which created a stir among fashion enthusiasts around the globe at its recent release. These sneakers come with built-in NFC tags that allow customers to access and enjoy exclusive content just by tapping their phones on the product. The demo specifically showcases product authentication and customer interaction, and is a must-see for any retail professional or brand owner.

“The retail industry is facing big challenges, and the innovative Smart Cosmos based solutions that we and our market partners will showcase at EuroCIS, offer valuable answers by providing the ultimate experience for retailers, brand owners and consumers. Our trade-fair presence in Duesseldorf will illustrate how we are successfully leveraging our RFID leadership to provide enhanced solutions that make the retail industry fit for the future”, says Torsten Strauch, Senior Vice President, Intelligent Things Business Division at Smartrac.

Please note: February 25 @ 10:30 – 11:00: “Metrics. In-Store Analytics – Visit, Consider, Try and Buy”. Marc Hoentsch, VP Business Development EMEA, Retail Applications and Solutions, will give an insight into Smartrac’s all-new in-store analytics solution Metrics, at the EuroCIS Forum, Hall 10, Booth F04.
