Share buyback program concluded

The share buyback of SMARTRAC N.V. has been concluded. The buyback program started on April 3, 2007, and was conducted via the stock exchange. SMARTRAC had authorised a bank to conduct the share buyback.

SMARTRAC N.V. decides to completely take over multitape GmbH

The Management Board of the Dutch company SMARTRAC N.V. has decided to take over the remaining 74.8 percent of the shares in multitape GmbH, based in Salzkotten, Germany. SMARTRAC had already acquired 25.2 percent of multitape in January 2007. To effect the deal SMARTRAC availed of an option agreed on earlier with multitape to acquire the remaining shares in the company. The parties have agreed to keep the price confidential.

SMARTRAC N.V. reports figures for the first quarter of 2007; Management Board decides on a reshuffle of management responsibilities

SMARTRAC N.V. today reported on its Q1 2007 results with sales of €19.5 million, EBITDA of €4.8 million and net profit of €4.5 million, representing an increase in all key figures compared to the same period of last year.

Richard Bird retires from SMARTRAC Supervisory Board

Dutch company SMARTRAC N.V. announced today that Richard Bird (66) has retired from his position as Vice Chairman of the SMARTRAC Supervisory Board for personal reasons with immediate effect. On June 22, 2007, the SMARTRAC Annual General Meeting will decide upon the successor to Richard Bird on the Supervisory Board.

Schroders increases its equity interest in SMARTRAC to more than 12 percent, Fortis purchases close to a 10 percent equity interest

SMARTRAC N.V. announced today that the investment company Schroders reported that it holds more than 12 percent of SMARTRAC’s shares. This represents a significant increase in Schroders’ investment in the company’s shares.

Equity stake placed with institutional investors: free float of SMARTRAC’s shares increased to more than 74 percent

Today, a total of 5,487,500 shares of SMARTRAC N.V., the Netherlands (stock abbreviation SM7) have been placed mainly with institutional investors through an accelerated bookbuilding (approximately 40 percent of the company's share capital).

SMARTRAC expands leading position: production of RFID components in February 2007 exceeds eleven million units

In February 2007, for the first time SMARTRAC produced more than eleven million RFID inlays for contactless data transmission in the high-frequency range in a single month. “In the shortest month of the year we set a new record,” said Manfred Rietzler, CEO of SMARTRAC. “We will continue this growth and surpass the twelve-million mark in the production of high-frequency inlays in March.”

SMARTRAC N.V. announces preliminary financial figures: Forecast for financial year 2006 exceeded

SMARTRAC N.V., the world’s leading supplier of high-quality RFID inlays for contactless data transmission, today announced its preliminary figures for the fiscal year of 2006. In the period under review, the group’s total sales reached €52.5 million, thus more than doubling the sales of €25.2 million from the previous year.

SMARTRAC and Silone reach agreement in patent issue

SMARTRAC Technology Ltd., Thailand, a subsidiary of SMARTRAC N.V., Amsterdam, and Silone MagCard, Inc. California, have settled their dispute regarding the use of SMARTRAC’s patents in the production of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) components.
